"Changing Lives One Takedown at a Time."
Wrestling is our vehicle. People are our purpose.
Major Decision Wrestling Club (MDWC) is more than a wrestling club. It is a place where young people prepare for the major decisions of life.
In wrestling, a major decision is a victory by eight or more points. We chose that term because young people face major decisions every day; decisions about character, relationships, responsibility, perseverance, and the direction of their lives.
Our goal is to help young people navigate those decisions by giving them positive examples to follow. Through wrestling, mentoring, competition, and relationships, we strive to be living examples of good character, resilience, discipline, and love.
We believe that what young people experience through our program should extend far beyond the wrestling room.
Major Decision Wrestling Club exists to provide young people with positive role models, life-changing experiences, and access to high-quality, affordable wrestling training.
Founded to serve youth in at-risk communities throughout St. Louis, MDWC has grown into a community built around wrestling, mentorship, character development, leadership, and opportunity.
We are committed to excellence in character and a winning attitude both on and off the mat. Through quality coaching, meaningful relationships, competition, travel, service, and life experiences, we challenge our athletes to become better wrestlers while developing the qualities they need to navigate life's major decisions.
Develop. Compete. Grow.
At Major Decision Wrestling Club, we develop complete wrestlers through focused, high-level training. Our practices are fast-paced, organized, and intentional, with every session designed to help each athlete improve.
Our small-group setting provides individualized attention and high-quality training partners, giving athletes the opportunity to sharpen their skills and receive the coaching they need to grow.
Most importantly, we believe athletes perform best when they know they are supported. We foster a positive, challenging, and encouraging environment where wrestlers can compete, learn from mistakes, build confidence, and continue developing both on and off the mat.
Develop. Compete. Grow.

WINNING WITH CHARACTER
THE MD WAY
The "MD Way” is preparing the best we possibly can, which will allow us to perform at our highest level. By doing this, we will be granted the ability to accept the results of our hard work. And we do it all with humility and great character. That is the “MD WAY”.
CHARACTER BUILDING
The MDWC wrestlers and coaches are committed to developing the "Total Athlete", one who is strong in mind, body and spirit. There is no greater way to build leaders than instilling in them the desire to serve. This is a major part of developing a Champion's Mindset, service.
We all have choices to make. Am I going to commit myself to a productive and positive lifestyle? Am I going to simply live like everyone else or is my life going to be inspired by something greater? Too many kids are led astray today, lost without a model, confused by peers and in desperate need of encouragement. "The Decision" is about creating environments where kids can find inspiration for a life of excellence.
